A whole month off? - Ramblings

This is the first Christmas break that I have had that is longer than 2 weeks- I have a full month off! I am a little over half way into my break and I also have friends going back to school now. It's weird that we don't all have the same break, in fact, many of the breaks only overlap by a week. I am calling for a universal Christmas break... do I have any seconds? But really. Still, I like having this time, these two weeks where high schoolers are back to school, and some college students are back, or going back. The ski slopes are less crowded and with less snow this season, lifts and runs are still opening. Its nice. But juxtapose to this greatness is a sadness. I didn't get to see several of my friends during the break- some who I would have loved to have seen. Of course I don't sit and let this happen... email! or snail mail! It's great that there are such connections to people even so far away. My friend in Massachusetts can email me in Washington, so far away yet it can seem so close. I don't know if this helps or hurts more when friends keep in touch. One way its great to hear from them and another its super sad we aren't together. Thanks to some people though, who ROCK at keeping in touch! With that, I must say I am ready to start my second semester of college. The first semester was rough, my school is very tough, but I am ready to hop back to it and show it up! UPS here I come (again... and in two weeks). =D
