Seattle is so fabulous. I have gone 2 times now and I have loved it both times. The first time, I got to go explore Pike Market- a famous outdoor farmers market next to the sound in Washington. There is the fish toss, many local farmers, local artists, and many people. The fresh fruit was super spectacular and the jam of some berry I had never heard of, plus the t-shirts and the funny locals. One shop owner asked me where I was from, (many tourists come here) and I told him I was from Tacoma. He replied with "Oh, well you must be pretty tough"; I laughed and simply agreed. Maybe Tacoma is a little more rough than Seattle? Ha. Then on my adventure back we almost got lost but hey, that's what college is right??
The second time I went, my roommate and I went to Chipotle after a horrible night on Halloween trying to get there. Somehow, Chipotle just tastes better at the hometown-dizzle ;) but it was still great to be in Seattle again. Then I got to see my hometown-dizzle friends up at Seattle Pacific University. Getting there was pretty simple, so I guess when I get tired of the UPS bubble I have somewhere to go chill. Seeing them though was awesome. They are the same great people I have always loved. We got to explore Seattle more and I had a blast.
I am so glad I came here to Washington to go to school- I love the rain and cloudy days and the people and UPS.
