I met an angel the other day

I have been volunteering in a hospital the past few months and I have seen quite a bit. Some of the patients have really left a mark on me as I talk to them. One lady was the angel I needed one day. I want to be a doctor but I have to go through so much school and debt to get there, not to mention lack of time for a family, so I do question if I can really make it. One day I asked an elderly lady how she was doing and she told me her story, then asked about me. I told her I was going to college to be a doctor and, without knowing her, she inspired me. She told me of how I can succeed and yeah it will be hard, and not everything is going to be great, but in the end, I will help so many people, and I can inspire younger women going into intense fields such as being a doctor. Being a 3rd degree black belt has inspired so many little girls my karate teacher teaches by my story of being their age and sticking with it to become one tough chick ;) and I hope I can continue to inspire. I want to make marks on people to be something bigger than they can dream of, because thats where I am now. I watch doctors every time I am in the ER and wonder about their stories, where they are from, what has happened, and I want to be them. Life ends, but doctors delay the end so people can prosper. No longer is a common cold deadly because of the past doctors. I want to go further and this lady reminded me of that. Angels do walk among us, and I met one that day. =)
